Hour of Code!

Today our class participated in the national hour of code through Code.org. We have been practicing using increasingly challenging coding apps to practice basic programming skills over the past two weeks and today we put our skills to use during our hour of code. Students worked with partners using Chromebooks to program increasingly challenging puzzles in the game Minecraft. This was so much fun and the students did a great job! Thank you to the parent volunteers who came in to support us today.

If you would like to learn more about the hour of code or try any of the other coding activities with your child at home please visit the website below! We did the Minecraft activities but there are also activities for coding Starwars, Frozen, Angry Birds, and Flappy Bird games!
