Research

First graders are working on their very first research project! Last week we read about sharks and decided on chapters that we would want to include in an "All About Sharks" nonfiction book. This week we are starting to learn about research and note taking to collect information for the parts of our book!

Under "Student Links" on the right side of this blog are some tools we will be using for research that students can also explore at home. I mentioned Kiddle and Kidrex before and those are both kid-safe internet search engines. Today we started exploring Pebblego, which students may want to check out at home too. To try Pebblego use the username umps and the password read! We started exploring that site together in class today.

Here are photos of the chapter headings we chose for our class shark book and the first few notes we have collected.
