Reading A-Z program for home use!

This week students are learning about their Reading A-Z accounts in class. With these accounts students can listen to and read books at their personal good fit reading level then answer comprehension questions about the books to earn stars! The stars can then be "spent" on parts for a robot or rocket ship within the program which is a fun incentive for students.

During class students will use this account once a week on their share day. In class they only listen/read and answer questions and have to save the rocket/robot builder incentive program for home.

Students can use their RAZ reading account at home by coming to this blog and clicking on the "Reading A-Z" tab along the top then clicking the link to log in. The first time you use it you will need to enter my teacher username which is hkellyg. Students' passwords are their last names starting with an uppercase letter.

We will begin first grade homework in a week and having students complete their reading homework on Reading A-Z is absolutely fine! I find that the website often helps to encourage reluctant readers!
