Fourth Day of School

We have been at school for four days now and have done many things! We have been using our smartboard for math every day, we have been doing different writing activities, practicing using the books in our classroom library, reviewing letters in word study through our Mystery Name of the Day game, exploring classroom materials and play things, and more! If you have not done so yet please send in your child's blog permisson slip so you can see him/her photo on the blog! The program I generally use to turn photos into neat slideshows isn't working with my computer at the moment so I will add lots of photos once that is fixed, hopefully tomorrow!

Forms on the Blog

Today I added a tab to the top bar of the blog for forms you might want access to at home. It occurred to me that I sometimes forget to send new lunch sign up forms home so I added that form so you can print it out!

First Two Days of School!

Can you believe it? Our class has been in first grade for two days now! We have started learning about each other, building our classroom community, and practicing our classroom routines. Please make sure you sign and return your child's blog permission form as soon as possible so you can start seeing his/her photo on the blog! Below you will see photos of some of the things we have done in the past two days. Among these things we did a scavenger hunt to learn more about each other, made first day crowns and did a first day of school survey, used pattern blocks and unifix cubes, started exploring our classroom library, began word study with letter review and our "mystery name of the day game," and used our interactive projector to do interactive morning messages and math games both days!
