Have a Great Summer!

Our last day of school was Monday and we had lots of fun together as we wrapped up the year. We had a Step-up Day in the morning where students got to visit their next-year's classroom, teacher, and classmates (so our class went to second grade and I got to meet kindergarten friends who will be my first graders next year!) then had a whole-school assembly where we sang, watched a slideshow of photos from the year, and watched the second graders come up to get certificates as they graduated from Union Memorial and head to Mallet's Bay school for next year! I will miss all of my first grade friends as they move on to grade 2 in the fall!

Field Day

We had a wonderful school Field Day today at Airport Park! All of the classes got to rotate between stations playing fun outdoor games like "Duck, Duck, Splash," a sponge bucket relay, tug o' rope, a bouncy castle, giant bubble blowing, and stations where we got to play with some of our fun PE equipment. We had a big BBQ before returning to school and just beat the rain. Perfect timing! Thank you to all of the families who joined us to make Field Day such a fun experience! Below are lots of wonderful photos taken by some moms in our class! Thank you, moms! You will notice that the last photo is of a tiny mouse. He was spotted at field day and sat for a photo!
