Author Visit

Another special event we had in June was a visit from local author, Abbie Bowker. She wrote the book Wooly Bear Winter which includes both her sister's poem about Wooly Bear caterpillars/animals preparing for winter and non-fiction information about Vermont animals in winter. Abbie spent two days with us. The first focused on teaching kids about being an author and the second focused on teaching kids how to write and illustrate a Haiku poem!
