Welcome to First Grade!

We have had a wonderful first and second day of first grade here in room 5! Students are learning and practicing first grade routines and expectations, exploring the use of classroom materials through Guided Discovery, reviewing math and word study, reading both new and familiar books, singing, playing games, and getting excited for the big year of learning ahead! Miss Jackie, the other adult in our classroom, and I have taken many wonderful photos of the learning happening in our classroom so please send in your child's signed blog permission slip so that I can post these photos here on the blog. I look forward to sharing regular blog posts with you this year to showcase student learning, stimulate conversation, update you on important information/upcoming events, and much more!
