Sound Experiments

First grade has a new science unit this year studying sound and light! We have been discussing sound sources and receivers and doing lots of experiments to learn about sound waves. Check out our photos and ask your child about how they have been experimenting with sound this week!

Making Slime!

Our class voted on making slime as our earned PBIS celebration yesterday!

The Water Cycle

First graders are learning about weather right now and today we talked all about the water cycle. Kids learned a song explaining the water cycle and made a bracelet with color coded beads that goes along with it. These are coming home today so you can ask your child to use the bracelet to show you how the water cycle works. Hopefully they can sing the song to you as well!

Snow!

Yesterday we got our first accumulating snow of the season so we went outside to enjoy it for a bit!
